Ellyn is a highly respected, award-winning industry professional. She is known for creating visibility, credibility, and success for unknown artists, bands, and entrepreneurs - taking them to the next level.

Ellyn began her career as a singer and songwriter - with accomplishments in a variety of areas: She toured with her own rock band, sang at The Emmy Awards Dinner, performed on TV with Dan Hartman, sang one of the Alka Seltzer "Plop plop Fizz fizz" jingles, opened for Rodney Dangerfield and signed with an indie dance music label. Ellyn also ran a record label for three years called Unity Records.

Ellyn made her mark as a music pioneer because of her work with the Grammy® organization. She served on the prestigious Board of Governors of the New York Chapter of the Recording Academy (NARAS). And, against all odds, created a new Grammy category.

Ellyn gave numerous nationwide speeches and produced many panels attended by thousands of people and successfully motivated the music industry to support her Grammy category efforts. Because of Ellyn's tireless efforts and strong music industry relationships, this category debuted at the 1998 GRAMMY AWARDS SHOW®.

Ellyn established important relationships with the media by implementing PR campaigns for the new Grammy category effort- generating extensive coverage in media outlets nation-wide from The New York Times to MTV! Ellyn's reputation within the music business and the media gives her a unique, highly respected status in the industry.

Ellyn's success establishing the "Best Dance Recording" category at the Grammys enabled Madonna to win the first Grammy of her career as a recording artist in 1999 for "Ray of Light". In 2000, Cher won her first Grammy in 35 years for her hit single, "Believe".

Ellyn received the "Special Recognition Award" from the Winter Music Conference for creating the first Dance Music Grammy Category, "Best Dance Recording". Because of the success and visibility of this category, the Grammy organization expanded the reach of Dance Music to the masses and a Dance Music Field was established at the Grammys, thus allowing additional categories to be created.

Revolution Magazine chose Ellyn as one of "The Top 100 Most Influential Music People Breaking All The Rules" for her legitimize dance music as a viable industry force."

Ellyn has had many years of service on the Board Of Governors of the New York Chapter of The Recording Academy and is presently a member of the Grammy Career Day Committee.

Ellyn is proud to have created the role of on-air DJ for the celebrity-studded "GQ Men of the Year Awards" TV Show on NBC for long term client Louie Devito, #1 selling DJ/label owner. He was on the show with Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep, Lenny Kravitz, Samuel L. Jackson, and Hugh Grant, to name a few.

On the "Red Carpet" before the "GQ Men of the Year" Awards Show, Buzz was responsible for getting DeVito interviewed on "Extra" (NBC-TV) and "Access Hollywood" (NBC-TV). Buzz Publicity & Consulting has generated major national media coverage for DeVito including cover stories in national music magazines, CD reviews, and TV Show appearances. Buzz is pleased to have contributed to the success of DeVito's label, Dee Vee Music, as the #1 selling DJ mixed dance compilation label in the world.
